Reviewing at Its Lowest

The New York Times manages to get me on one big fit of Rage-Mode once again! This time, we are tackling Paid Positive Reviews and Sockpuppet accounts.

Just why? Because not only is it freakin' dishonest, it's disgusting.

Do you lack so much confidence in your book that you would resort to buying positive reviews? Then that book shouldn't have been published, plain and simple.

Wouldn't you rather have made it into success with pure honestly? That people really loved your book?

For that author who just wanted any kind of review, there are millions of review sites online who would have reviewed your book with their honest opinion and for free. You hear that? For. Free.

The world is now notified of these authors but with a price: this article has put the book blogging community's integrity on the line. We absolutely do not need this right after that SirenGate Scandal. Bad timing, New York Times. Bad timing indeed.

Stand up against authors who abuse the system! Sign the petition!

  1. Paid for good reviews? That's absolutely horrible, dis-honest and...!!! I'm off to sign the petition!
